sept 14 ( just got it today in email)

Hello, all of you out there reading this. I hope you all had a great week. For me I know I did, lets see it has been storming here quite badly it is so cool. Like yesterday we were standing under, I would call it like a tarp, it was in front of a little business and we were standing under that, you know waiting it out. Since both me and my comp have been under the weather a little bit but don’t worry I am doing great. Lost my voice a little bit, but you know I am still talking lol. Oh yea back to the storm so across the street, the wind took down a tree, and I am not talking about those little ones, this tree had its roots under the sidewalk and it broke the side walk took down a light pole and some electric wires I know right how cool lol. But no worries didn’t get to wet. But almost did, since my comp pointed out twenty pesos were floating down the street, since the street was a river, yeah I almost went for it but my comp told me that would be stupid. Don’t feel to bad since I found fifty pesos on Saturday, so I am pretty stoked still lol.
Okay so on Thursday, we celebrated my one year here in Mexico, I know right how fast the time is going. I landed here on September 11, last year, but really didn’t want to celebrate it on that day and it actually works a lot better the night before. So we went over to the Sister Ana´s house don’t know if I have talked about her and her family. But lets just say the mom,(Sister Carmen) of Ana knows how to cook. So we went over there to celebrate my one year. We made muffins me and my companion. Thanks to my mom sending me muffin mix, simple enough for me to make, just add egg and water. I know easy right lol. But it was very sweet. We are teaching the daughters of Ana right now, Karina and Erica, so it is pretty tight, lets just say we go there a lot. And they always ask us if we would like to eat dinner. And you know it is bad to say no. lol.
So last Sunday, we had an investigator come to church who was a contact from me and Contreras from like two weeks before. And his name is Flavio. And we taught him this whole week and we baptized him on Sunday. How cool no. I mean he was way stoked to be able to be baptized he is only twenty nine years old, but he went through a lot of things in his life. So he was telling us how he wants to be the best member that he can be, I know that he will be able to help this ward a lot.
I hope you all have a great week
Love you all

So this week has been great. Lets see on Wednesday we had a Zone Conference which was killer, we learned about how to be better missionaries like Ammon and all the sons of Mosiah. And it was a good way to look at ourselves as missionaries, and our president gave us an assignment to read the entire Book of Mormon in the month of September. So yea we will be reading a lot these days. But it is going to be sweet rereading with the purpose of just finding ways to better my teaching. I think it will definitely help me finish up my mission. Okay so here we are definitely having the rainy season it is pouring here almost everyday. But I like it, it reminds me of home in Washington. Speaking of which I passed by a street named Washington going to the zone conference look how close I am to home. Lol.Okay so not to many things happened this past week but I still had a good week. Okay love you all

Okay this week was a blast. As you all know from last week I have a new comp his name is elder cardenas. He is from Monterrey Mexico, and has wont believe this but a year less then me in the mission. I am old nah just joking I still have nine months left since I will be completing fifteen this coming up week, where is the time going. Okay now back to the point…lol.
Okay so this week was a week of Home Evenings, which I wont lie is always fun it started with Tuesday we had a home evening with the family Vega Medina. They are way nice and very humble but a little inactive so we are trying to help them come back to the church. The coolest thing is that we have tons of new investigators just because of this activity, since they invited all of their neighbors. Oh yea just to tell you for dinner we ate tacos. And of course since we are here in Mexico there is always chilies everywhere and since I am the only American I always am given chilies they say it helps with your Spanish, first that is a lie, second I can eat more chilies then any other Mexican here. Lol. I know who would of known I beat every Hispanic at eating hot food. Lol.
Okay also we had a family home evening with Salvador to teach him about the importance and we invited Francisco since they live close by and all. And Salvador was to happy to share his testimony with Francisco. Also we invited Adrian and Luis, since Adrian is the ward missionary leader here and Luis was but now is the ward secretary.
Speaking of Luis, so on Thursday here we have mutual, and always after the spiritual there is games no. so we played some soccer, and my team won two out of three games, and when Luis was the goalie for the other team I made an awesome goal. Yea thought I would share that. Oh yeah before the home evening with Salvador it was storming so bad here. That the streets weren’t just rivers so were the sidewalks there were no places to hide. Lol
Okay so on Sunday I wont lie we had no new investigators at church so yeah that is a bust, but Salvador went up to bless the sacrament problem is his glasses didn’t work for him so he instead just helped break the bread but I am still proud of him. Lol.That was pretty much my weekbye…
we are off to find some more souls
love elder heffron
so the pictures of the week are of me and a chili(just to tell you ate like six one after the other, to prove that I can lol) of the street on Saturday(there is a sidewalk under that)and me and my comp elder cardenas

So this week has been just full of adventures, lets see I will first like to say that two weeks ago we broke the record of baptisms two weeks ago so on Tuesday we all went to lunch together the entire mission. Yea it was way cool and we went and ate at a buffet so that was pretty tight and there we did all of our changes there and elder nelson is now in estadio, in Morelia. For all of you at home that was my second area of the mission. Where I was only there for a change, but I was told that Lety my baptism there was already the Relief Society President and now she is a counselor in the Young Women presidency for the stake. That is tight to hear. But back to the point, my comp that I received was elder richeson. But he was only my comp for five hours since he was sick and now is in his house. I hope that he will be better and be able to be back soon. So then I received elder paleta, but the trip is that both of have different areas so we were told that we were going to work in both the areas so we were way excited. But then we found out on Wednesday that we have changes so my comp for the rest of the week was elder Contreras who is my zone leader. It was way fun to be with him also this entire week. And now I am in the offices waiting for my next comp which is elder cardenas I don’t know who he is since he only has two months out in the mission. But I bet we will have a lot of success and fun together.
So back to Tuesday, we went to the conference with Elder Christoffersen which was sweet he let us ask him questions and all. And it was really cool, i liked his answers and his advice for us. It was really good. We also met the new area president and his wife and the other mission president and his wife. Oh yea don’t think I told ya but it was both Guadalajara missions together that is a lot of missionaries.Okay so some other funny notes, I had a contact this past week who she thought that I was a missionary for the catholic church, since when I do my contact I say that I am from the church of Jesus Christ, just because the entire name is kinda long. So she sent me and elder Contreras to the catholic church to talk with the father, or the minister to tell him that we are missionaries to see if we could help him. Okay I could of done the right thing and corrected her, but how much fun would that be. So we told her that we will go there right after we are done knocking. And of course we didn’t go, but I didn’t expect to see her again. But my luck we ran into her again and she told us that she talked to the father about us and he told us that we never showed up so she sent us again, we played a little dumb saying we got lost. Lol
Oh also for a note Salvador was confirmed and given the priesthood on Sunday. So that is way cool it is so cool to see all the blessings that he has received since he found the church. His life has done like a 180 and I am so glad that I am here to see it.
Well I love you all
Have a great week
Elder heffron

Well hi all of you, this week has been just full of adventures, so… lets see last Monday we were able to go to the zoo here in Guadalajara, which just to tell you it supposedly is the largest one here in mexico, and it was huge, a lot of walking and the animals were awesome to see, we did the package that also had it so we could see the aquarium the fish was way cool. But to add to the excitement there is an amusement park inside the zoo, so you know what we did we went on some rides, only a few lol.
Okay on Wednesday we went to have interviews with the president. And it was way fun since we had it during lunch time we all canceled lunch, so the president took us out to lunch and a funny thing is, the America vs mexico game was going on and the president and all of us were watching it, sad thing we lost again… crappy but at least I didn’t bet this time. Lol.
Okay on Saturday the single adults here in the stake had a sweet activity about eras of music from the forties till the eighties, and our ward had the eighties and they did Michael Jackson´s thriller and our ward was the best it was like a five minute skit, and I would have to say it was awesome. And then after the activity our investigator Salvador had his interview and he passed it with flying colors which we had thought before since he accepted everything we said, and he is going to be an awesome member.
So on Sunday we had to get his baptism all ready we had it after the services and a lot of people were able to stay and supported Salvador at his baptism, it went very well since Salvador cant walk by himself with out a walker it was very fun to get him into the font but I was able to support him, but no worries everything went great. It was funny since we had a baptism after church we were alittle late to our lunch appointment, but it is okay before in the week we had made a dinner appointment with her since it was her birthday and all so we had a ¨linner¨ lol.For some future news tomorrow is going to be a great day and a sad day, for the great news as a mission we were able to break the record for baptisms so tomorrow we are all going to eat as a mission, that is going to be a lot of missionaries. And afterwards we are going to have a special conference and the speaker is Elder David Todd Christofferson of the twelve apostles. So yea that is going to be sweet. And the sad news is that elder nelson has changes so tomorrow I will have a new comp I know what a bummer.
Well love ya all
Elder heffron

So this past week has been a very interesting week…lets see last week we went to a Chinese restaurant yea lets just say it was a bad idea. Lol. But on a higher note we had some great lessons with our investigators Francisco, and with Salvador. And we were able to get them both to church on Sunday. and this coming up week they both have baptismal dates for this coming up Sunday. Speaking about Sunday, both me and my comp gave talks this past week at church. Elder nelson was about baptism and mine was about the sacrament our talks went very hand and hand, I think we really did well. We also had mutual on Thursday and we gave a little thirty minute lesson with the members. I thought it went very well we talked about how the members need to help us with the work. Lol. Today we are going to go to the zoo so I will have some sweet photos next week. Speaking of things that I saw this week I saw the brand new camaro, and yea it is so beautiful. Lol. So the photos are: of me on my fourteen months with my hands up to show that I have ten months left, is of us six Gillmore, Louder, Me, Hamblin, Nelson, Lehman. And the last one is of the camaroHave a great week

august 3

So this week we have been teaching a man who is way cool he is Francisco, this week we have had a few great lessons with him and we have invited him to baptism right now he has a goal for the fifteen of august. So we are hoping that all will be good. This past Sunday we went by to pick him up. The coolest thing he was outside waiting for us and he was all dressed up nice and all with a button up shirt. See he works in a tire shop here, so he is always dirty so it was cool to see him all dressed up nice waiting for us. And it seems like he had a fun time at the church and we explained the church to him and all and it was very cool. He told us he enjoyed the church. So just to tell you all if you haven’t seen the calendar we are in the month of august. I know I am surprised just like the rest of you I mean it shouldn’t be august yet, I mean tomorrow believe it or not I complete my fourteen months, that is unbelievable. Lol. Also just to tell you all whoever likes to write me using pouch. Well sorry but pouch no longer works, don’t know why, but that’s life so yea everyone will have to write me using normal mail. Also just to tell who ever had sent me pictures through email the past months, a few weeks ago I lost my usb memory, okay I forgot it at the internet. But if you would just resend some of your pictures to me so that I can print them off this time
